Among the most beautiful dive sites in the Golf of Thailand are those surrounding Koh Tao. The dive area fascinates beginners as well as advanced divers through its wide range of fish existence and its multiple kinds of corals. Nature lovers will be in heaven: incredible rock formations, idyllic bays equal to movie landscapes, and sea eagles circling in the sky change the day into a dream – an unforgettable holiday! As this island shows itself to visitors as a rich, diverse and beautiful land and seascape, Calypso Diving designed its program around Koh Tao and our customers love it!

For the trip to Koh Tao we offer different transport variations. It takes 1:30 hr to 2:00 hr for the 65 km, depending on the weather conditions. Upon arriving on the MV Calypso we will give you a boat briefing (explanation about the boat`s safety devices, description of the tour, and staff introduction), and after this the groups are divided. We take a maximum of 25 customers aboard, with max. 5 divers per Divemaster or Instructor.

Before you enter the water you will get some information about the dive site and later an explanation about the marine life you have seen there. After the first dive a tasty lunch is waiting for you, having been freshly prepared on board. During lunch the MV Calypso changes to another dive site – a new adventure awaiting you for your second dive.

Would you like to experience more diving and relaxing?!? Understandable as Koh Tao`s dive sites have so much to offer, and the MV Calypso`s relaxing atmosphere is such a welcome change from your normal busy life! Stay aboard as long as you like and unwind in the best way possible!

Overnight Tours

We also offer a variety of overnight options so you can relax and enjoy yourself for longer. Staying overnight on the MV Calypso is the best choice you can make! It enables you to visit more dive sites and experience a wider range of the beautiful aquatic animals, including barracudas, mackerel and other larger fish which circle the deep blue waters surrounding the mazes of coral gardens which Koh Tao has to offer. 

In the afternoon (around 4pm) is the next oportunity for another dive on a new site, plus you will have the opportunity to dive at night – an exciting and unique experience which you will treasure for the rest of your life! For those of you who have never experience night diving, we can arrange for you to do our Adventure program which not only allows you to enjoy this thrilling experience, but can also be credited towards future courses, such as the Advanced Open Water. 

After returning from this night dive you will be served a hot dinner and given the chance to lay back, relax and take in the breathtaking surroundings. Later in the evening our staff will prepare a comfortable bed (thick mattress, sheet, pillow and blanket) for you on our sun deck (partially enclosed at night to protect you from the elements), and you can enjoy a relaxing, peaceful sleep.

In the morning (8am) is the first opportunity for dive of the day – try a deep dive, again as part of our Adventure program, another experience which surpasses those permitted in the Open Water course, and well worth doing! Upon return to the boat our cook will have a hot breakfast awaiting you, and we will move to another dive site where (at 10am) we meet up with the new day's divers.

Prices include transfers, coffee, tea, water, all meals, fruits, cookies, snorkelling, and guided dives (up to 7 dives in a 2 day tour).

This prices are for five dives. Extra dives are 800,- Baht per dive.

Chumphon and Southwest Pinnacles:

For anyone who is looking for a something additionally special, we offer trips to Chumphon Pinnacle and Southwest Pinnacle. Both these deep dive sites are home to larger fish species and a fantastic array of coral. From the MV Calypso, we leave for these sites on our Rescue Offshore Boat (the Calypso One 6m 140hp dingy) with a maximum of seven divers.

Trip Per Person: 500 Baht (minimum 4 people)

Sail Rock and National Marine Park:

These day tours from Koh Samui are available via either speedboat or tour boat. Both tours give you time to do two dives, Sail Rock being large and diverse enough to offer different and exciting multi-dives, whilst in the National Marine Park we will change sites between dives, showing you the best of what each place has to offer. It is recommended that you ask for the condition of these dive sites one day in advance (visit our site `Underwater´).
