International diving license to 30 meters: The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver is the diving license for all those who are already Open Water Divers and would like to literally immerse themselves deeper into the world of scuba diving. When doing this course you will learn how to dive in a responsible manner and in different conditions down to a depth of 30 meters. Especially in terms of going deeper your senses and your abilities to dive will be sharpened during this course. Apart from depth you will also learn considerations while diving in different conditions.
The Advanced Open Water program basically consists of five dives in open water. You will prepare yourself for those prior to the course with the manual that we will give you. You will read those chapters in the book you have agreed on with us and you will fill in the knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter. This program is still focusing on the practical part of scuba diving – so there is no theory exam. But definitely reading the five chapters will prepare you for the required open water dives.
Each dive is stressing a certain key aspect. PADI is offering here a whole range of possible focal points. We will discuss with you which dives would be the best for you to accomplish and also which dives can be done in our facility and in our environment.
Two dives are already set as a standard by PADI: The Deep Dive and the Underwater Navigation Dive are required. Here you’ll learn the exact way how to prepare, how to plan and how to perform such dives. When going for the deep dive, decompression, no decompression limits and an exact planning of our dive are in the center of our focus. On the navigation dive you will learn to handle your compass preciously and you will learn more about natural navigation. You will develop a sense for a better orientation under water and on the surface.
Amongst the other three required dives the most popular choices are Fish Identification, Underwater Naturalist, Multilevel- and Computer Diving, Boat Dive and Peak Performance Buoyancy.
You can take part in this program starting on any day of the week. Especially Monday, Wednesday and Friday are ideal as we go for deeper dive sites on those days. We pick you up in the morning at your hotel and with our – regarding safety, space and comfort – outstanding catamaran we will bring you to the dive sites. Depending on what day you join our tour we will either do two or three dives per day. That way you can easily finish the program in two days with us. We will provide you with food and drinks throughout the day. Starting with a breakfast, continuing with snacks and drinks and a tasty lunch you shall be missing nothing on our tour. Further information regarding our catering you will find in the descriptions of our boat tours.
On the last day of your course your instructor will certify you as an Advanced Open Water diver. Being valid for a lifetime this
