Koh Samui Scuba Diving Adventure: Big3, on TripAdvisor the best diving tour from Koh Samui to the three top dive sites, Chumphon Pinnacle, Southwest Pinnacle and Sail Rock, in one day. You can spot a whole range of tropical reef life as well as pelagic fishes. Giant groupers, barracudas and blue marlins can be seen on these top dive sites, amongst many others. Here, you will enjoy those special kinds of dives, where diving becomes pure adventure.
On the morning of your scuba diving tour, an air-conditioned mini bus will pick you up at the reception area of your Koh Samui hotel for transportation to the boat pier. Travel time to the Southwest Pinnacle is from Koh Samui approximately 90 minutes. Relax on board our spacious catamaran, custom-made to provide you superior comfort and safety. Our boat offers spacious indoor and outdoor seating and two toilets for your convenience. Throughout the day there will be snacks, a delicious Thai style lunch, and beverages available, along with crew members to assist you.
During the journey, you will meet your scuba diving instructor, who will brief you on the days’ activities. He will set up your scuba diving equipment giving you time to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery. Before arriving at the dive site, a ‘dive briefing’ will be given. With small groups of certified divers per dedicated instructor, you are unlikely to find a diving experience like this anywhere else!
On all three dive sites, there are large schools of yellowtail and chevron barracudas, batfish, queen fish, mackerels, jacks, trevally and one spotted snapper and fusiliers, these dive sites are what diving is all about. An underwater photographers dream, being able to explore and discover new and wonderful marine life with visibility sometimes reaching up to 30m with little to no currents. Large marbled groupers can also be found swimming around the dive sites or blending into the soft and hard corals and giant barracudas can be spotted hanging about on the out skirts of the dive sites. At Sail Rock, you can explore and swim through the natural underwater vertical chimney and maybe discover its secret pinnacle too. If you’re lucky enough the majestic and graceful whale shark can be seen at these dive sites.
The dive times on each dive are 45 minutes plus safety stop with maximum depths depending on certification, open water 18m, advanced 30m and deep diver 40m.

We did a bit of research and the trip they do to southwest pinnacle, chumpon pinnacle and sail rock looked like a really good mix. The booking process was easy and the pick up on time-a good start.
When we went on the boat we were introduced to our dive master, Jill. There were about 15 on the boat and we were very happy to find that Jill was our own personal divemaster for the 2 of us-great service. Everything is taken care of, the dm sets your gear up, even between dives etc. we got full dive briefings prior to each dive and they kept us informed at all times. The boat was excellent, really roomy, modern, had 2 toilets and a kitchen and roof etc so different zones to chill on and fast. We left the same time as a traditional boat from another dive company and we were already moving to the second dive site as they were pulling up.
As for the diving, sail rock was pretty crowded, we got there early and they commented it was fairly empty, it must get swamped if that was a small crew. That being the case I can see why. Schools of fish abound with groups of grouper etc everywhere you look. Had an awesome chimney swim through. Was hoping to see a whale shark but unfortunately none around. Clear water, a really nice dive.
We then went to chumphon pinnacle, being offered drinks and cakes between dives, second briefing, only 1 other boat there. Similar abundance of marine life to sail rock, chumphon is in the middle of the sea, an underwater bombie. Beautiful, then back for lunch at Koh Tao.it is beautiful but would annoy me as a diver, there were literally 40 or so boats there, people and divers everywhere. It was a pretty place to have lunch, I dived off the boat for a swim, it was good.
Then off to northwest pinnacle, another bombies in the middle of the sea. Didn't see as much here but still saw a lot. All in all a great day. Jill had her own camera and is a good photographer, normally I don't buy these types of photos but they were good and we were very happy with the service so we purchased as a way of tipping, didn't even argue the price. If you want a really professional dive company in Koh Samui, you can't go past calypso, five stars.
